An unseen characteristic built into each  product or service provided by Hunt Forest Products is that of environmental  quality. From our timberland management practices to each process in the  manufacturing facilities, we are committed to responsible environmental  stewardship that preserves our natural resources, environment and community  health.

Federal environmental laws are the basis for most environmental regulations and  programs to which our industry adheres. Some of these laws include: 

• The Clean Air Act (CAA)
• The Clean Water Act (CWA)
• The Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA)
• The Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA, SARA III)
• The Pollution Prevention Act (PPA) 

A measure of Hunt Forest Products' commitment to environmental quality is  demonstrated through compliance with these applicable laws and programs. These  programs are integrated into the daily operations in the form of permits,  pollution prevention plans and inspection programs. Any plans for new  installations or changes at the manufacturing locations are evaluated from an  environmental perspective prior to commencement of the project. In addition,  preventative controls are implemented at each manufacturing facility to minimize  potential pollution impacts.
